Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
As a part of a school-based team, the school psychologist will
identify students in need of special education services and will
provide support to special education students and special education
classrooms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Completes required psychoeducational evaluations within
specified timelines.
Completes functional behavior assessments and assists in the
development of behavior intervention plans.
Participates as a member of schools’ MTSS teams.
Assists in professional development and provides relevant
training in appropriate areas.
Provides consultation, as requested by school administration,
regarding needs of special education students
Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are
not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as
assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate degree in school psychology from an
accredited college.
EXPERIENCE: Experience as a school psychologist in the public
school setting is preferred, but not required
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: SC educator certification as School Psychologist II or
III
