Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Counselling, Health, or Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team in Ottawa, Ontario. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work closely with clients and colleagues in our attractive professional offices, as well as providing options for remote work.
As a Counselling, Health or Clinical Psychologist at Ottawa River Integrative Mental Health Inc., you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions to individuals, families, and groups. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of our shared intervention specialties and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of psychological care. This position is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative team while contributing to the betterment of mental health in our community.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans to meet individual client needs.
Provide evidence-based interventions, with an integrative focus, to clients of varying ages and backgrounds.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and collaborative discussions to enhance client outcomes and professional growth.
Stay updated on advancements and related therapeutic approaches, applying them to clinical practice.
Mentor and supervise trainees or junior team members, as needed, fostering their professional development.
Requirements
Qualifications
Eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario
Master's, Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counselling, Health or Clinical Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited training program
Demonstrated expertise in delivering research-based psychological interventions. (We are particulary interested in candidates with training and experience in mindfulness, somatic, and trauma-informed therapy approaches; we are an integrative practice so we respect dedicated practitioners from a diversity of theoretical orientations.)
Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Experience in supervising or mentoring would be considered an definite asset
